Learning Support Programme

    The International School of Tianjin is a co-educational day school founded in 1994. The school has an international curriculum, serving expatriate students in Nursery through Grade 12. IST is authorized to teach the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. It is a candidate school implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. English is the medium of instruction and the school provides ESL and individual needs support.

    In addition to core subjects, the school provides specialist instruction in art, Chinese, music and physical education. An extensive extracurricular activities programmme is available to students. IST is located on a superb purpose built campus opened in 2001. Features include 30 classrooms, an excellent library, three science laboratories, two computer laboratories, networked computer facilities, a cafeteria and art, music and stage facilities. There are excellent sports facilities including a gymnasium, a climbing wall, a 400 metre track and a full size soccer field. The school has acquired additional land for the purpose of expanding its teaching facilities. The school year runs from mid-August to early-June. Enrolment is open to all expatriate children and applications for admission are accepted throughout the year. IST is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Tianjin International School

Teda International School, Tianjin Branch

    TedaInternationalSchool (TIS) was established in 1995 by the governing body of the Tianjin Economic Development Area to provide world-class education for children residing in the Bin Hai Teda region.
The school has been established by the Teda government and is open to any foreigners residing in Teda.
TedaInternationalSchool is located in the residential section of Teda, ten minutes from Tanggu and fifty minutes from Tianjin.
    The TIS campus is comprised of four modern, climate-controlled buildings housing general classrooms; science labs; computer labs; library/media center; ESOL classrooms; a full-sized gymnasium and large cafeteria. The campus grounds are a park-like setting that includes a playground, a football field, and a track.
    TIS is a member of EARCOS and is accredited with WASC. We are also a member of the Association of Chinese and Mongolian International Schools (ACAMIS) and participate in intramural sports and cultural activities regularly through this organization.
